In November 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that evening, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists delayed my talk I doubt I can make the flight we r enroute to heathrow".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an excellent helper".

These messages were released on this week alongside over 20,000 pages from the estate of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets has been able to confirm his identity by cross-referencing the timeline, occurrences, and locations mentioned.

For example, Epstein discusses arranging a plane from Scotland for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "Oxford speech". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and gave the speech at the Oxford Union two days later.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's closest aides in the lead-up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but stepped down from the administration in 2017.

He has admitted he was producing a film about Epstein prior to his death and allegedly has around 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his podcast earlier this year, he said: "We plan to publish the film, the five-part series, next year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile at times seeming to act like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon thanked him: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Therapies. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Mentioned in Messages

The published communications also show Bannon and Epstein discussing British political matters in that year.

Earlier on the day of his address at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit thing this morning with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to Theresa May, the embattled British leader at the time, he continued: "The guys are trying to proceed. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can uk. Best-- so others see the commitment of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Will Theresa May survive". Bannon replied: "It seems unlikely however the people over here have no balls" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - somebody has to step up".

May was finally toppled in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in late 2018.

A spokesman for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence that encounter occurred.

The US House of Representatives will vote soon on whether the Department of Justice should release all its files concerning its investigation into Epstein, who died in prison in 2019.

Attention in Epstein's relationships with influential individuals was renewed recently after the publication of over 20,000 pages from his estate.

Some of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing. The president was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but says they fell out in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
