Trump Calls Families of Injured National Guard Members to White House
Former President Trump stated on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the family of a Guard member tragically killed last week to visit the presidential home.
He added that he spoke to her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Soldier Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a attack on last Wednesday in Washington DC.
Her comrade, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, continues receiving treatment in critical condition.
Vigils across West Virginia have taken place in their remembrance.

The president stated he’s talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the loved ones of both individuals of the state National Guard.
“I said: ‘When you’re able, because that’s a hard experience, come to the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” Trump informed reporters. “And similarly with him, recover or not.”

Mourners assembled over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.
Both she and Wolfe had been working with the military unit as part of Trump’s national effort to support public safety in DC.

“She was the kind of student that educators desired. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a bright grin and a optimistic attitude that encouraged those around her,” the principal, the principal of her previous school, told the media. “She was caring, caring and always eager to help others.”

Officials have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and two counts of attempted murder while carrying a weapon.
